Andhra’s Taste More, Sector 56, Gurgaon

Dosa is love, dosa is life. And we have found Taste More stall in Sector 56, the one-stop destination for best Andhra dosa in Gurgaon, especially for all the South Indian lovers.

Dosa is commonly pronounced as the same name in almost all languages like Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, & Malayalam.

Dosa is like fermented crepe or similar to pancakes but made of rice batter and black lentils instead. It is one of the staple dishes of the South Indians especially in southern Indian states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerela and Andhra Pradesh.

Dosa can be stuffed with fillings of vegetables and sauces to make a quick meal. They are typically served with a vegetarian side dish which varies according to regional and personal preferences.

Dosa can be served with side items like Sambar, Chutneys (coconut chutney (a semi-solid paste made up of coconut), dal (lentils), green chilli and mint or coriander)

One really thinks that South Indian food of all states is almost similar, umm no. In reality, all the state represent something unique & different. Kerala items usually have more coconut in their dishes.

Karnataka’s food items are really colourful especially the sambhar, which is the most reddish. It also has a marginal sweetness which is its signature.

Andhra food is the spiciest, one will need to add ghee to the item if aren’t used to spicing.

More About Taste More, Sector 56, Gurgaon

Suggested by one of our followers, Taste More was a surprise to us when we visited the stall. Located in sector 56 of Gurgaon, this Taste More stall was surrounded by tall buildings of the various societies.

Before we tell you about our experience, let us give you a little brief about the owner who runs the stall. The owners itself come from Andhra Pradesh, one of them does a corporate 9 to 5 job but its the will power & determination pushed them to open authentic Andhra dosa stall, the Taste More.

After exploring the whole Gurgaon the owners were missing the original taste so they decided that they have to provide Andhra’s pure authentic taste to its customers & this what Taste More majorly aims at.

So let’s hop onto what we experienced at the stall. We tried a couple of their signature dishes like Moong Dal Dosa (pesarattu dosa), Masala Dosa, Tamarind Rice (pulihora) and the breakfast dish i.e. Bonda.

All of them were served with their special chutneys which were homemade, yes purely grinded at home!

So pesarattu dosa comes with the combination of upma, regular chutney and they had a special chutney which was the ginger-garlic chutney.

This combination was supposed to be eaten together to get the complete taste of pesarattu dosa but one can have it separately.

With masala dosa, one will get a coconut, pudina, tomato onion chutney & the sambhar which they gave us was made up of homemade masala’s so nothing was bought out from outside.

One thing which was noticeable was that they didn’t use any added preservatives.

The third dish of Taste More was the bonda which generally gets consumed in breakfast along with the same chutneys but also with gunpowder to make it spicier.

Finally, we tasted Tamarind rice which gives tamarind flavour, also because its get cooked with the extracted juice of tamarind itself.

Taste More understands how important hygiene is to the people so all the dishes get prepared with a lot of care & attention.

So rounding it up we loved the passion of the owners of Taste More, which definitely shows up in their quality of the dishes that they serve.

If you are living around sector 56 or you are a local visitor then you should surely get your hands on Taste More.

When we first discover this place we were very skeptical about the taste and thought that it might be some usual dosa place. But it all changed when we had the very first bite of their ghee dosa. It was so tasty and we felt like we are having food at our home. They have one of best vadas in towns and I also like to mention about their lips-smacking Bonda which they serve with different chutneys. we tried other items from the menu as well and they all were equally fantastic. Also the warm welcome by the owner makes you to visit here again and again.

I read about this place and went there. This place is truly hygienic. The owners always serve freshly cooked food (even the vadas freshly made) with a huge smile.
    Real genuine people.
    Some MUST TRY are:
    Masala dosa
    Vada sambhar
    Bonda
    Idli
They serve it with Gun powder which I am sure I could not find anywhere in Gurgaon

I am having tamarind rice with chutney and really can feel hygiene and freshness. Upon taste 10/10, after spending almost 10 years at South, got same taste today at Gurgaon. If you love South Indian good, or even if you don’t, this is place to treat your taste buds
